Working at Proclaim

THE BEST PLACE TO WORK

We want to have the best people working for us to provide the best possible insurance claims solutions to our customers. Proclaim employees are outstanding at what they do, and we expect nothing less from those who want to work for us. We are on the lookout for dynamic team players who swing to the fences and are not afraid to set the bar high, and then surpass it.

We’re not talking about automatons though – you’ve got to have a little soul. That means we expect you to play as hard as you work. Luckily, at Proclaim, we like both.

Understanding

At Proclaim our purpose is to ‘Go beyond’. Our employees are encouraged to innovate and find superior solutions for our customers, all the better if they stand outside the traditional A through Z. To do that we need smart self-starters who like autonomy and responsibility. We provide an extensive training program, and you execute our strategies to save our clients time and money.

Sound interesting? We regularly have opportunities for professionals to join our growing company. So if you think you stand out from the pack, you might just fit within our company.

Proclaim a great place to work!

Proclaim has now been operating for 20 years. Our aim, since we started, was to be the best at what we do – claims management. To do that, we needed an innovative model, a strong and sustainable set of values, together with a purpose – going beyond – that inspired great performance. We wanted to be a great place to work, and attract the best people, because we were convinced that good people thinking creatively could generate great results for our clients.

So we are delighted that in 2013 and 2015 we were named in BRW’s Top 50 Great places to work in Australia; and one of the Best small & medium workplaces in Asia in 2016. We think this serves as great recognition for our entire team and the clients who place their trust in us. The survey, undertaken by the Great Places to Work Institute, is a detailed study and survey of workplace culture that recognizes those organisations that provide a truly great work environment. The survey provides valuable feedback on employee engagement and alignment with management, as well as assessing policies, procedures and work environment.

One of the key measurements is trust, which according to the Institute is the defining principle of great workplaces and this is created through ‘management’s credibility, the respect with which employees feel they are treated, and the extent to which employees expect to be treated fairly’.

At Proclaim, we understand we are in the insurance industry, but we have tried to create something a little different – quirky, creative and a little rock’n’roll. We’ve got open plan offices, edgy artwork, smart technology, and enthusiastic, ridiculously clever people. We want an environment that inspires growth, creativity and innovative solutions. We want to go beyond for our clients and build their trust. And, hopefully, have some fun along the way.

Volunteering – Corporate Social Responsibility

At Proclaim all employees are provided with the opportunity to take two paid volunteer days with our nominated charity partners, or an approved self-nominated charity, throughout the calendar year. Participation is optional.

We are proud of our ongoing relationship with our nominated charity partners – Mirabel Foundation (VIC and NSW) and Salvation Army (Hamodova Café)

We believe our volunteering program forms part of our corporate social responsibility. It is an opportunity for our team members to make a contribution to the community, to give something back as well as allowing us a chance to build more meaningful partnerships with not for profit organisations and foster increased levels of team spirit.

And importantly, it provides a healthy dose of perspective – that our day to day problems aren’t so big, really.

“I have heard there are troubles of more than one kind. Some come from ahead and some come from behind. But I’ve bought a big bat. I’m all ready you see. Now my troubles are going to have troubles with me!”
